TR518FE and TR518FR MDAs to be Phase Out and Replaced by the TR518 SII
 
Test Research, Inc. announced a plan to discontinue the company’s TR 518FE & TR518FR Manufacturing Defects Analyzer (MDA) systems on December 31, 2012. In service for over 20 years, the TR518 Series has built up the largest MDA installed base in the world. While production of the TR518FE and TR518FR and will be discontinued, product support and service will continue to be offered by TRI for an additional 3 years.

Replacing the TR518FE and TR518FR, the TR518 SII offers the same legendary quality of the workhorse TR518 product family. Additionally, the TR518 SII provides a more powerful test platform, faster test speed , and the flexibility to develop a wider range of analog test solutions alongside upgraded OS compatibility and a convenient USB interface.
