Taipei, Taiwan (March 15, 2011) – Test Research Inc. (TRI, TAIEX 3030) is proud to announce it will feature its TR9000 Bare-Board Inspection & TR9000 Repair Station at the CPCA Show 2011, being held from 15-17 March 2011, at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center, People’s Republic of China.

Located in Hall N5, Booth 5A19, TRI will be displaying a TR900 Bare-Board Inspections & TR9000 Repair Station. The TR9000 is an AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) system ideal for high-volume manufacturers of mainstream PCBs. Designed entirely in-house, the TR9000 implements TRI’s existing AOI expertise to inspect PCB line widths/spaces down to 1.4mil (35 microns.) Environmentally-friendly, long-lasting red and blue LEDs are used as a light source to ensure high detection rates with low false calls.

The TR9000 can inspect bare copper, flex board, HDI, and photo resist circuit boards. Panels up to 675mm x 730mm (27in x 29in) can be accommodated by the system. The TR9000 features one-button run that quickly sets the parameters for lighting threshold, alignment, board thickness and etching factor. For added convenience, customers can download their CAM files directly to easily create test programs.

TRI will also be displaying the TR9000 Repair Station that offers an 80mm working distance for easy operator access. The optical system typically provides defect-to-defect verification times of 0.5 seconds while the software can display multiple defect images at the same time.
