[December 26, 2018 – Taipei, Taiwan] TRI's comprehensive service operations are handled by TRI headquarters, branches offices and certified distributors. It has come to our attention that some unauthorized repair centers used TRI's name and untruthfully claimed to be certified to repair or replace defective parts for illegal profit. To avoid causing damage to your equipment or forfeiture of warranties, our company hereby declares: Test Research, Inc. (TRI) doesn't have any externally authorized repair centers in any regions of the world unless specifically stated by TRI headquarters or branch offices in that region. If any maintenance is required, contact our company headquarters or branches directly and please do not arrange maintenance from any unauthorized third-party repair centers.
From January 1st, 2019, TRI will apply the following for products that
were not repaired by our company headquarters or branch offices:
1. TRI will make no repairs to the machine mechanisms, mainframe or boards if it was previously repaired with non-original materials from our company.
2. No repairs will be made to programmable parts, such as EPLD, FPGA, and EEPROM.
3. No repairs will be made due to PCB trace burnout, a large number of missing parts or non-original approved parts, etc.
4. No repairs will be made if the service requires more than three (3) days to complete.
5. The repair costs will be ten times the standard fee when the item is deemed to be repairable.
