TRI WIns SMTA Nepcon Award

Taipei, Taiwan (May 28, 2010) – Test Research Inc.'s (TRI, TAIEX 3030) AXI expert Barbara Koczera gave a presentation May 21 at a meeting of the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) Ohio Valley Chapter. She discussed the benefits of X-ray Inspection and how it can be used to detect defects early on in the production cycle to minimize overall production costs (details at http://www.smta.org/files/ohio_newsletter0510.pdf).

TR7007 SPI System Captures Award at Nepcon China 2010


Taipei, Taiwan (April 28, 2010) – Test Research Inc. (TRI, TAIEX 3030), took home "The Best Exhibit Technology of the Year 2010" award from the just-concluded Nepcon China show in Shanghai. Presented by SMTA (the Surface Mount Technology Association) China, the prize was given to TRI's TR7007 Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) test system, currently rated the fastest 3D SPI system in the world. 

According to SMTA China, the award is for "exhibitor(s) who display outstanding materials, equipment or services at NEPCON China 2010. The SMTA China Recognition Program strives to recognize and celebrate excellence in the electronics industry, inspiring our member companies and exhibitors to achieve the highest technology standards and move the industry forward."

Ms. Koczera is a former Agilent Senior Application Engineer who worked for Agilent/HP on their X-ray systems for 12 years. She is currently employed by Test Research USA, Inc. in support of its TR7600 Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI) system. She has hands-on product experience in High/Low volume and NPI sites worldwide. Ms. Koczera has worked closely with OEMs/CMs to ensure their products (both Class 2 and Class 3) are being tested by quality X-ray tests and to utilize the results data for process improvement.
