The TR5001V offers all the features and benefits of the TR5001, but with a vacuum-type fixture in place of the press-type fixture. Vacuum fixtures provide a more consistent connection between test pins and test points on the device under test, especially for long-term testing.
TR5001V includes a mix of MDA, ICT and functional testing within one platform, allowing a complete optional testing model which provides an economical testing solution according to the needs of customers.

Benefits of the TR5001V
The compact TR5001V packs all the testing abilities of TRI's top-of-the-line TR8100LV into a smaller footprint.
2,048 Test Pins
The TR5001V supports up to 2,048 test pins. These can be all analog or analog/digital hybrid pins. TRI's efficient, MUX-free, 1:1 per-pin architecture design means all pins are drive/receive: there is no multiplexing, no wasted pins. This allows for fast test program development, as no vector model is required before fixture development. Engineering changes to fixtures are simpler and cheaper to perform.

Reliable, Effective Vacuum-Type Test System
Vacuum fixtures provide the most reliable connection between the fixture and the DUT (device under test). The TR5001V's vacuum system ensures full contact during testing between test pins and the test points on the PCBA. A convenient TR5001V-TR8100LV adaptor is available so that the same fixture can be used on either machine.

No Access Test Solutions
All TRI board testers are already prepared for the reduced test access found on more and more PCBAs. The TR5001V fully supports the IEEE 1149 Boundary Scan standard as well as other innovative solutions such as ToggleScan™ developed in-house.
HDI designs feature microvias, which permit a greater number of components, but eliminate the traditional test pad: there is no place to put a standard test probe
ToggleScan solves this problem by sensing the test signal through the target device.

TRI's ToggleScan™ is ideal for HDI boards with little or no test access.
